Technology is Key

From smartphones to tablets to laptops, technology is all around us and will only continue to revolutionise the way we work. While some breakthroughs have rendered certain jobs obsolete, the rise of technology and the digital world has created many new roles and thousands of jobs. Globalisation refers to the worldwide exchanging of ideas, values, products and culture, leading to a more homogenous, integrated global environment. Another key trend in the current workforce is better flexibility when it comes to work-life balance and the variety of job types available. The full-time role is no longer the standard convention; part-time jobs, contractor and freelance work, casual jobs and internships are all a real part of the workforce today. You don’t even need to go to an actual office to get your work done; many roles can now be completed from home, which is ideal for mothers and carers.
